Another year older…

I turned another year older on today (and major thanks to all the well wishers!) and I’m not ashamed to admit I’m now 36. This year I was like the Queen and had two birthdays: an official one and a real one.

Coping with sleep deprivation

Bleary-eyed parents don’t need anyone to tell them they’re suffering from sleep deprivation. It’s not easy to walk around like a zombie, and maintain a certain appearance to yourself, and not to mention enthusiasm. Let’s face it, we’re tired!

Like many other mums my life is complex, chaotic and at times completely bonkers. Dealing with the demands of a busy job, an energetic five year, a two year old who’s just hit the terrible twos

Ami started school last September so this is our first summer where we’ve had to deal with that extended period known as ‘School Summer Holidays’ and managing full-time childcare for seven weeks.
