Mumorandums from a working mum
An increasing number of mums are planning to launch their own business this year because of a growing desire to have more flexibility in their working lives and be their own boss, according to a new study.
Research by telecoms giant BT showed that 15% of women had already started their own business since having children. One in ten of the 1,200 mothers questioned aspired to having their own business, partly because they wanted to choose their own working hours, balance their work and family lives, or simply because they fancied being their own boss.
